Grand Lake
Fishing from the shore is tough. Try the public docks with a trout rig set up to see the best bait for the day. From a boat, hit the shoreline with 1/4 spoons. Good tip is to change out the hooks on the bigger spoons and ad smaller hooks.
*Grand Lake's lake trout population is on the decline so let's do what we can to keep what we have. |
Lake Granby
From shore, keep close to the dikes. Spinners in the evening seem to be doing the trick at Dike #1 & #2.
|
Shadow Mountain
Stay closer to the dam. Spinners or crank baits parallel to the shore. Trolling with Needle fish have been hooking the rainbows.
Spillway is a busy place, don't be afraid to take a fly rod or spinner down towards Columbine Bay. |
Rocky Mountain National Park
The fly of the last few days is the Royal Wulff pattern. Stick to size #16.
