Grand Lake

Fishing from the shore is tough.  Try the public docks with a trout rig set up to see the best bait for the day.  From a boat, hit the shoreline with 1/4 spoons.   Good tip is to change out the hooks on the bigger spoons and ad smaller hooks.

*Grand Lake's lake trout population is on the decline so let's do what we can to keep what we have.

Lake Granby

From shore, keep close to the dikes.  Spinners in the evening seem to be doing the trick at Dike #1 & #2.

Shadow Mountain

Stay closer to the dam.  Spinners or crank baits parallel to the shore.  Trolling with Needle fish have been hooking the rainbows.

Spillway is  a busy place, don't be afraid to take a fly rod or spinner down towards Columbine Bay.

Rocky Mountain National Park

The fly of the last few days is the Royal Wulff pattern.  Stick to size #16.
